Love Taiwan, one of my favourite countries to travel to. We spent a bit of time around Sun Moon Lake as well. The lake itself is quite nice, and the sun moon lake temple is just insane. There are quite a few things around that area to see also – the wood museum is a must imo. There is a big district there that just sells wood carvings.
There is plenty of accommodation in Adelaide and suburbs, within minutes of the Speedway, ranging from five star hotels to caravan parks and backpacker hostels. 台東伴手禮 Full details are on the Gillman website under the information/accommodation tab. What isn't in dispute is Taiwan's status as one of the great Asian food meccas.

One of the best ways to explore them is on a Busabout Tour with like-minded travellers. Seeking a wild and secluded beach adventure this Summer? Resolute Beach lies hidden right in front of Sydney’s eyes and is one of the most spectacular destinations within it’s national parks. We explore the night markets for a while and return home, where I sink into my bed, wrapped in a pink mosquito net, and try to think of a few excuses to extend my stay. I opt for an island hopping tour the next day, accompanied by Uncle Bao, on a long tail boat skippered by his brother-in-law. We explore a few limestone islands, some with caves and dripping stalactites, some with white sandy beaches and at least one populated with a large family of crab-eating macaques who scramble over the rocks to check us out. Tomorrow night’s season opening episode, to be screened at 9.30pm EDST on Fox Sports 5, will feature highlights of the Spectrum Direct Sidecar Spring Nationals, staged at Gosford Showground on the NSW Central Coast.
People stop and chat to me or translate menus if I look lost. I really do enjoy visiting there – seems less "spoilt" than certain other Asian countries. People are friendly, public transport is well organised, food is nice. plenty of great vegetarian cuisines and cafes, visit the night markets in Taipei for some delicacies too.
The natural landscape like wave erosion caves, ditches, and pillars are amazing, sea view here is attractive and very enjoyable. The Oluanpi Light House will also be visited. We then continue to Taitung via the scenic Southern Link Highway. Overnight at Taitung and enjoy a relaxing bath at the 5 star hotel's Spa & Hot Spring recreation area.

Situated less than a 10-minute stroll from Chiayi Station, Travel Art Inn offers guests an ideal base while visiting Chiayi City. It also offers free Wi-Fi, a library and a Jacuzzi. Dapeng lies right near Taiwan's second-largest city, Kaohsiung, which has an area of green space known as Cijin Wind-Power Park. This commitment to global warming reduction would be impressive were it not for the fact that Taiwan still has a reputation for having some of the largest pollution levels in Asia. Inland and south of Taitung, a vast expanse of green wilderness awaits exploration but time is against me.
I am lucky enough to be going for the one hundredth anniversary of the Chinese overthrow of the monarchy aka xinhai revolution aka double tenth day in october. will be there for some commemorations by the current ruling party due to past family ties. Cathay pacific has frequent flights through hong kong and the newer reroutes through mainland china is competitive, china southern is not bad. eva air is the best of taiwan airlines but nothing special. the flag carrier of Taiwan, China airlines, is best avoided in my opinion. Hostels and hotels were inexpensive and quite good.

With developing nations in mind, engineers at the University of Vermont have designed a micro energy harvesting system. Incorporating a deep-cycle battery, the mini wind turbines can generate enough power to run LED lights and charge small devices like mobile phones. Damyang is rightly famous for dining out, and is famed throughout South Korea for it bamboo dishes. As a major bamboo centre, Damyang also has plenty of shops specialising in just bamboo products. Lightweight white cotton gloves have a thousand and one uses. They are intimidatingly pristine fresh out of the packet.
Cross the road and slip behind the Grand Mosque into a narrow alley lined with little Indian shops selling religious paraphernalia, bindis, incense, and offerings to worshippers heading to the Hindu temples on the lane. It’s a wonderful example of Dubai’s cosmopolitanism and tolerance. The lane leads to the Bur Dubai textile souk and shops full of rolls of shimmering brocades, glittering satins, and sequinned Aladdin slippers. You’ll also find stalls selling Indian street food snacks.
Maccas, KFC, Burger king, MOS burger, you can all get these around that region. Visiting Taiwan is always about the night markets and the vast variety of delicious food they offer.
